More Than Monday

It's a bird... It's a plane... It's SuperMoth...   

...and it's amazing to watch.

While spending some time in my yard this past weekend I found myself hypnotized by what I thought were the tiniest hummingbirds in the world.  After doing a little "googling" I discovered I had been watching the infamous and very cool Clear Winged Hummingbird Moth. What a brilliant impersonation...  and totally inspiring to me.

It's Officially Tuesday, I know but I had to share something that I found inspiring! This video is so genuinely sweet and a perfect example of a simple truth.

I've seen this fantastic bird several times and saw it featured on program again last night!

It is still fascinates me as much as it did the first time I saw it!!!

More Than Monday

The past few days have been challenging for me - I can't put my finger on exactly what was causing me to feel  a sense of uneasiness. Yesterday I ended the day by sitting out on my back patio, closing my eyes and going away in my mind...the slight breeze in the air, the sound of singing birds all around me and the warmth of the sun on my face inspired me to imagine myself laying in a field of flowers overlooking the most magnificent view! I really needed that little mini-trip!

More Than Monday

This past weekend I discovered a poster I had bought that is still waiting to be framed. Even though it has been tucked away for safe keeping it is no less remarkable then it was when I first fell in love with it. It's an amazing compilation of photos featuring dozens of species of butterfly wings.

The entire 26 letter alphabet and 9 numbers can clearly be seen in the a natural patterning of these butterfly wings. I took the poster out and tacked it up in my sewing room where i can easily see it... the magnificent colors and shapes all found in natures miraculous splendor will be a wonderful design tool and a true source of inspiration...
