Red eyes & yawns all after many cups of coffee and what you think is a nights sleep. Attention new parents; your little bundle of joy on average is depriving each of you around 350-400 hours of sleep in the first year. If you're a single parent those numbers almost double to about 600-750 hours in the first year. When you do a little calculation that is about one entire nights sleep per week, 52 sleepless nights in the first year. If you ask most any parent...it's worth every lost second of sleep.
Yes it is! You also learn to grab a nap whenever you can get one in! I use to nap on the couch when my 1st one was about 18 months old...I would put him down for a nap and then put my leg over his legs...the second he moved I was up! LOL
This made me sleepy! :) I don't know how parents manage on that much lack of sleep. Kitties keep us up but not that much although after five years, I still get woke up several times a night. *sigh*
Yep, remember those nights... you sleep when they do at any time of the day or night and I would do it all over again in a heart beat!! lol... although at the time it seemed like I never slept!
