12 things you may not know about Babies
WEEK #9
Gesundheit kleine baby!
Little babies seem to sneeze a lot, but it's not because they're chilled or sick. Sneezing is simply a natural reflex that keeps their nasal and respiratory passages free of congestion and tiny airborne particles. Sneezing also helps reopen a temporarily closed nostril. During breastfeeding it is common for a baby's nose to be pressed up tightly against their mother, this can often flatten one or both nostrils. The sensation of shut nostrils will cause a baby to take a deep breath or sneeze to open their nose again. So say "gesundheit" and rest easy! If fever or other symptoms appear consult your baby's pediatrician.
